Repeat Prescriptions
The Practice runs electronic prescribing through the http://www.patient.co.uk/patient-access.asp website/app and all repeat prescriptions should be ordered in this way.
If you would like to order your prescriptions this way you need to register with us first and you will then be provided with log in details. We are able to register patients for this service over the phone. Your registration details will then be emailed to you or left for collection at the reception desk.
Call and speak to a receptionist to get set up - please do not call first thing in a morning for this, as the lines are busy. Please call at a quieter time, for example late afternoons or evenings.
If you are unable to use the app for any reason, there are two alternative ways of requesting repeat medication:
If requesting your medication by EMAIL - it must include the details below to be processed.
- NAME
- DOB
- NAME OF EACH INDIVIDUAL ITEM YOU NEED (INCLUDING STRENGTH)
- THE NAME OF THE CHEMIST YOU WANT THE PRESCRIPTION SENDING TO
If you do not have access to emails:
- Tick the items you require on your repeat print-out and place the list in the box at reception or post through the front door
In the absence of a printout we require a written request, ensuring your full details and details of the medication are provided.
It is important to use the right hand side slip attached to your repeat prescription wherever possible as this is a clear and accurate list of your medications and it will avoid mistakes often made when using hand written requests
Please note, that the turn around for repeat prescriptions is 3 working days. The chemist will then take two days to prepare your prescription. Therefore, please allow at least 5 days when requesting medication.
It is no longer an option to collect your medication from the practice. A pharmacy MUST be nominated.
WE REGRET WE ARE NOT ABLE TO ACCEPT TELEPHONE REQUESTS FOR PRESCRIPTIONS
